Biography

Lotten Jacy (b. 1977 ) is a SwDSC_0147edish-American artist originally from Springfield, Missouri and currently residing outside of Östersund in Jämtland, Sweden.

The techniques she uses are rooted in CRAFT, with strong ties to folk and cultural traditions. These range from embroidery, beadwork, to silversmithing. Because the nature of these techniques are time-consuming, one piece or a small collection of works can take a long time to produce.  Her most recent collection of jewellry objects without:within took two years to complete.

In addition to her art, Lotten is employed as an Art Educator for the Region of Jämtland Härjedalen for youth between the ages of 13-25.
